The Cle Elum-Roslyn Schools will open tomorrow, Monday September 11, for the first day of the 17-18 school year.
The Kittitas County Health Department has monitored the indoor air quality at our schools throughout the weekend. The indoor air quality is very safe for our students to attend school.
The district has brought in special air filtering equipment and placed the units throughout our school buildings in the case than a weather inversion creates unhealthy air conditions as our entire community experienced last week. These filters will be used to keep our schools' interior air quality safe for students and staff so that we can keep schools open and provide school programs should smoky conditions occur again as area fires continue to burn.
Mental health professionals from Comprehensive Mental Health will be available in our school buildings Monday and Tuesday in the case there are students and/or staff who are anxious or concerned about our continuing fire emergency or who have been displaced by evacuations.
We wish all an exciting and productive first week of school.
