WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires Smart Choices Scholarship

  • The Dairy Farmers of Washington and Les Schwab Tires in conjunction with the WIAA proudly present the Smart Choices Scholarship Program. 
  • This annual program recognizes one male and one female graduating senior from among the WIAA member high schools for excellence in athletics/activities, academics, leadership and community service throughout his and her high school career. 
  • Smart Choices winners receive a $5,000 scholarship toward the institution of his and her choosing.  An additional eight (8) finalists receive $1,000 scholarships.
  • In addition to a series of background questions, each applicant will be required to write an essay or provide a personal statement video about “How you plan to use your education to benefit others.”  The judging criteria is based on 35% athletic/activity excellence, 35% academic achievement, 15% leadership, 10% citizenship/community service, and five% on originality/creativity of the student’s essay or video.

KITTITAS COUNTY CATTLEWOMEN MEMORIAL FUND SCHOLARSHIP

  • Awarded to a female kittitas County High School senior who is enrolled full time at a trade school, technical school, community college or university for the academic year of 2019/2020. She must plan for a major or minor in an agricultural related field.
  • Information on how to apply is in the high school Career Center.

Yakima Valley Construction Federation (Yakima Plan Center)

  • Each year the Yakima Valley Construction Federation presents  scholarships to eligible students in Central Washington.  
  • Each scholarship is awarded to a deserving graduate who is preparing for their career in the Construction Industry.
  • Scholarship Applications are available at www.yakimaplancenter.com under Yakima Valley Construction Federation Scholarship

Eastern Washington Quarter Horse Association

The Eastern Washington Quarter horse Association is offering one, $1000.00 scholarship for post-secondary education or vocational training to graduating seniors in Kittitas County; or a previous graduate from Kittitas County who is already entolled in an accredited two or four year collegeor university or technical insitute.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • An accumulative High School or college grade point average of 2.5 or better.

  • Be a resident of Kittitas County

  • Plan on attending college or technical school the coming fall term.

  • Been involved in horse related acrivities sometime within the past six years.

S.C.A.C. Principal's Association Scholarship for Graduating Seniors   

  • Applicants must submit a personal statement that includes your educational goals, and why you should be considered for the SCAC Principal's Scholarship (500 word limit). 
  • Applications in the Career Center.

The Annual Howard Kelleher Memorial Scholarship

  • MERIT Resource Services is offering five $1250.00 scholarships in honor of Howard Kelleher's lifetime achievements to deserving essay winners within the agency's service area (two in the Yakima County, one in Benton-Franklin Counties, one in Kittitas County and a final one to the next highest scoring individual regardless of county of residence).   
  • The scholarship will be awarded based on a competitive composition entitled "How big of a problem are alcohol and drugs in your School, how does it affect your community, and what can be done about it?"

Marjorie Heron Scholarship

  • The Marjorie Heron Scholarship will be awarded to a Cle Elum Roslyn graduating high school senior who most represents the graduating senior class based on scholarship, character, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Must exhibit outstanding character and morals between teachers, staff, and peers. (CERHS staff may be ask about your character, trustworthiness, honesty and respectfulness).
  • Applications in Career Center.

Friends of Alpha Chapter #88 OES

  • A $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a Cle Elum Roslyn high School graduate of 2019
  • Needs to exhibit good character and morals. Personal statement and what your plans are down the road.

Friends of the Kittitas County Fair

  • Friends of the Fair Grounds Foundation annually awards three $1,500 scholarships to graduating Kittitas County high school and home-schooled seniors.
  • Scholarship awards are based on student's grade point average, community involvement, leadership skills and recipient's financial need. All applicant names are removed from scholarship paperwork during the selection process.

Upper Kittitas County Dollars for Scholars

  • The 2019 Scholarship Application System is now open:  Upper Kittitas County high school students (including home-schooled students residing in UKC school districts) are now eligible to apply for scholarships to attend college or vocational schools.

  • Students who fill out one application profile on our ChapterNet Website:  www.UKC.dollarsforscholars.org  are eligible for local scholarships offered through UKC Dollars for Scholars® as well as thousands of other national scholarships available through our partnership with Scholarship America®.  Eligibility is based on information you complete on your application profile.  If you are eligible for an available scholarship (both local and national), you will be notified and directed, via your ChapterNet Dashboard, to provide further information according to the criteria of each inpidual scholarship.  Directions are available through a link on our ChapterNet Website’s “Students & Parents” tab.

  • LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED:

    Upper Kittitas County Dollars for Scholars®:    One or more annual or four-year renewable* scholarships for $1,000 or more will be awarded depending on available resources each year.  Merit-based scholarships awarded for college, university or other post-secondary institutions.

    Cle Elum Kiwanis Scholarship:   One or more annual or renewable scholarships for $500 or more will be awarded depending on available resources each year.   Merit-based Scholarships awarded for college, university or vocational training.

    Cle Elum Kiwanis Ray Killian Memorial Scholarship:  Single annual scholarship of $500.  The applicant should display a strong interest in technology, ham radio operations, engineering and/or the military.

The Class of 54 CERHS Scholarship

  • Scholarship is for a CERHS 2019 graduate involved in community service, extracurricular activities and have an accumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.

2019 Merle Kirkley Merit Scholarship

  • The $3,000 Merle Kirkley Merit Scholarship Award is a competitive merit-based scholarship program designed to provide financial support for Washington State high school students planning to obtain a post-secondary education.
  • Applicants must demonstrate that their intent is to major, or obtain a certificate in, a field relating to educational facility planning and design. Fields related to educational facility design include (but are not limited to): school planning, architecture, engineering, product services and construction management.
  • Submission Requirements: The Merle Kirkley Merit Scholarship Award information packets, with all required submission forms are available on-line at www.A4LE.org, under the Washington Chapter [awards] section. The entire scholarship submission requirements will be accepted by submitting via email by 5:00 p.m. on April 19, 2019. 
  • Deadline: April 19, 2019 at 5:00 PM

Community Foundation of Kittitas County

  • The Community Foundation of Kittitas County offers a toal of 5 scholarships valued at One Thousand Dollars ($1,000 each) to high school graduates from within Kittitas County.
  • Mut be a enrolled full time in a Kittitas County High School with a minimum of a 3.00 GPA.
  • Must exhibit good character, morals and should be involved in community service activities outside the high school environment.
  • Applications available in the Career Center.
  • Deadline: April 26, 2019

Inland Telephone - Harold Weis Memorial Scholarship

  • Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Cle Elum Roslyn High School with a 2.75 Grade Point Average or above, to be chosen by the Inland Telephone Company board of directors.
  • Award: $2,000 over 4 years of continuous schooling.
  • Applications available in the Career Center.  
  • Deadline: April  30, 2019
