Associated Student Body (ASB)
Have you ever wondered who decides on our dance themes and what cool events come to our school? Did you know that these things are brought to you by our middle school ASB? Be a part of the decision making process for all things fun here at Walter Strom and join ASB!
ASB is a student led club that sponsors and promotes things like school dances, assemblies, and our end of year filed trips. We also hold fund raisers that support charitable causes as well as all of our activities. Here is how it works. Ideas for events and fund raisers are brought to the ASB meetings by students and staff. The ASB then discusses the activity and fund raising options presented and the appointed members vote on what they would like to support and start implementing a plan to make it happen.
As an ASB member you not only play a key part in the decision making process for the fun things happening here at school, but you gain awesome skills in leadership, event planning, and community building. We are an important (and fun) group that supports our student body!
Are you ready to join ASB? Meetings are the first and third Friday of each month during the 7/8th grade lunch in Ms. Ficele’s classroom. All students are welcome to join; however, to be a voting member you must be elected a homeroom representative or ASB officer. To learn more, come to our next Friday meeting!
