Cle Elum-Roslyn School District Update

Hello Families, Staff and Community,

This has been a whirlwind of a day with new information, guidelines and directives being given by officials from both the Governor's office and the President of the United States.  Despite the constant change and increased stress that we are all experiencing, my heart is filled with emotion today as I watched our staff load the school buses to deliver food to our families.  Our staff served over 150 lunches to students today and the smiles from the students was a highlight for everyone!  I am humbled by our staff's continued service and care for our families.  However, at this time, all staff have been dismissed until further notice, with exception to year round employees (building administrators, central office, and custodial staff).

What does this mean for parents?

  • Buildings will be open tomorrow, TUESDAY March 16th from 8-11am and 2-5pm for families to come pick up Academic Enrichment Learning Plans as well as medications and any other items that may need to be retrieved from our buildings. Please be patient with our staff when you arrive to pick up items out of the buildings as parents will be kept at the doors while staff retrieve necessary items.
  • Sack lunches will be delivered via PM bus routes again tomorrow.  Buses will depart at 11:10am and will be arriving at the PM bus stops 4 hours PRIOR to the regular drop off time.  For example, if your student typically arrives at the bus stop at 3:30pm (Mon-Thursday), then the bus should be arriving with lunches at 11:30am for lunch delivery.
  • Families are asked to complete the Student Needs Survey as soon as possible. Survey results will help us to determine important information regarding community childcare needs and food services.

We will continue to send information as we have it.  Unfortunately, information and direction from the government is changing so rapidly that it is hard to anticipate next steps.  Please continue to check your email and our website for additional details as this situation continues to develop and unfold.

Thanks again for your continued patience.
