SWIFTWATER'S ANNUAL PLANT SALE! Students at Swiftwater have been busy nurturing tomato and pepper plants from seeds as part of a horticulture project. The plants, including 10 tomato varieties and 8 types of peppers, will be available for purchase at the "Celebration of Student Learning (CSL)" on the night of May 23rd from 5:00PM-7:00PM for $3.00 (cash only please). For those unable to make the CSL, online sales will also be available, starting May 20th at: https://www.cersd.org/o/swiftwater/page/swiftwater-plant-sale. **There was a misprint on Plant Sale dates in the Tribune - please note that the information above is correct.**
The Community Health & Wellness Fair will occur Thursday, May 23rd, 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Elementary/Middle School gym during the Celebration of Student Learning. The first 170 students to attend will receive a small prize!
Reminder! The Jazz Café Fundraiser is this Friday, May 17th, from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at the Cle Elum Eagles - 220 N. Pennsylvania Ave, Cle Elum, WA. This is the largest fundraiser for the music program! The Middle School Jazz Band, High School Jazz Band and Aaron Tuchardt's professional Jazz Band "Legions of Jazz" will be performing. There will be a taco dinner, silent auctions, and dessert auctions. Help raise money for clinicians, competition costs, a new trailer and more! Hope to see you there!
Reminder! All Sophomores and Juniors having state testing this month! Sophomores have Math testing Tuesday, May 14th and 15th and Juniors have Science testing Tuesday, May 21st. All tests start promptly at 8:15AM. Good Luck!!

The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is hosting our 13th annual “Celebration of Student Learning” on Thursday, May 23rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This Celebration’s goal is to shine a light on our community of lifelong learners and celebrate the demonstration of their learning in a variety of ways including projects and activities which will be on display for you. This involves all students from Kindergarten thru Seniors. More information to come soon!

Reminder! Tomorrow begins the 7-week Strengthening Families Program. The programs runs every Wednesday, May 8th - June 19th (dinner and free childcare included) at Walter Strom Middle School. This program helps equip parents, youth (ages 10-14), and family with the tools, skills and strategies to build stronger families. Please see the attached flyer and registration form. Registration is now open for our annual Community Dodgeball Fundraiser, happening THIS Friday at the high school gym!

$40 Registration Fee(per team) and packet is due by May 9th. Space is limited, so do not delay! There will also be a dessert auction! If you are interested in helping run the auction or the event, please contact the HS Office.

This week, May 6th - 10th, marks Teacher Appreciation Week! We want to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our teachers, administrators, support staff, and everyone involved in shaping our students' lives. Traditionally, our District honors all staff during this week, recognizing their combined effort and dedication to providing top-quality education. Whether in classrooms, cafeterias, offices, or playgrounds, each staff member plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment. A heartfelt thank you to our remarkable staff for your passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our students. Your influence goes beyond the classroom, and we are truly fortunate to have you as part of our school community.
Next week CERHS students begin their state testing. All sophomores will test in ELA and MATH. Juniors will test in SCIENCE.

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM - Wednesdays | May 8th - June 19th. Labor Market Specialist, Ben Compton, took time out of his busy schedule presenting at conferences and working with businesses located around the west coast to speak to students this morning in Miss. Tiffany & Mr. Lindner's class about The New American Labor Market.
Students heard about the most in demand jobs and trends in the workforce to be aware of as they start planning for their future. After each presentation, Warriors took turns shaking his hand and asking questions about his thoughts on their ideas for their future careers.
As he was leaving, Mr. Compton commented that he "really loves coming to our school and others like it that encourage students to consider all routes into the workforce." He was especially impressed with our emphasis on the 3 E's (Employment, Enlistment and Enrollment). We are already looking forward to Mr. Compton returning in October for our next Warrior Futures Day!

Looking for something fun to do and support a great cause? Join us on Saturday, April 27th from 5-8pm at The Roslyn Theater. The Cle Elum Roslyn HS is raising money for the Ski and Snowboard Club. There will be raffle items available and they will be showing the snowboard movie, "The Art of Flight". Tickets are $5 for students, and $15 for everyone else. On April 2nd our team installed new phones throughout the district. While we are able to keep the main office numbers for each school and district, it is temporary and will be fully transitioned on June 30th. This means the way you reach us will change. Mark your calendars for another WARRIOR WORK TIME! The high school staff is excited to provide students with support and pizza on Thursday, April 25th from 3:30-5:00.
Join us for a fun event this Sunday, April 21st, from 11am-2pm to support our K-12 students! They have created amazing art work, and music groups will be performing songs in the Roslyn Yard. 3rd-4th Grade will perform 11:00am-11:30am. 5th-6th Grade will perform 11:30am-12:00pm, and Middle and High School will perform 12:15pm-2:00pm.
