The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is proud to recognize three exceptional students who have been nominated for this month’s School Board Awards. These students have shown remarkable dedication, growth, and leadership in their learning journeys.

School Board AwardsLeigh Green, 11th GradeExcellence and Leadership in Environmental Science
Leigh is being recognized for their passion and excellence in Environmental Science Issues. They consistently produce thoughtful, high-level work and contribute creative solutions to real-world environmental challenges. Leigh is also a leader in our school’s recycling efforts and is always willing to help others. Their dedication and advocacy truly make a difference.

Kruger (Kru) Nelson, 3rd GradeAcademic Growth and Achievement
Kru has made tremendous strides this year, both academically and personally. Once a quiet student, he now actively contributes in class, shares his thinking, and proudly displays his work. His academic growth is outstanding—99% growth in ELA and 50% in Math on MAP assessments—and he now reads over 50 more words per minute than in the fall. His confidence is soaring, and the sky’s the limit. Way to go, Kru!

Sofia Escobar, 5th GradeDedication and Perseverance
Sofia has demonstrated incredible focus and enthusiasm throughout the year. She engages fully in every lesson and shows a strong desire to learn and improve. Her consistent effort and perseverance have led to impressive progress, and she continues to strive for excellence as she prepares for middle school. We are so proud of all she has accomplished!
