Please join us in recognizing April Simonson, who is retiring after 3 wonderful years as a Developmental Preschool & ECEAP Teacher with the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District.
April’s dedication to her students has left a lasting mark on our youngest learners. She recalls a recent proud moment during a dental screening visit when her preschoolers impressed the entire dental team and parent volunteers with their respectful behavior—earning the title of the best-behaved group in the school! Moments like these highlight April’s care, guidance, and the positive classroom environment she created.
As April begins retirement, she’s looking forward to a well-deserved slower pace—starting with sleeping in and enjoying her morning coffee alongside her husband and pups at their Naches getaway. She and her husband have plans for extended RV adventures and exciting international travel in the years ahead.
Thank you, April, for your passion, warmth, and the difference you’ve made in the lives of our students. Wishing you joyful travels and relaxing mornings ahead!

These connections are a true testament to her positive influence and care.
As she begins this new chapter, Kim is looking forward to visiting her newest granddaughter on her first official day of retirement! Her summer plans include traveling to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with her family, spending more time with loved ones in Oregon, and getting back into scrapbooking to capture special memories.
