Wrestling Meet Cancellation and Continued Weather Monitoring:
Due to highly unpredictable weather—including continued snow, freezing rain, and pass closures—we are prioritizing safety. The wrestling league meet scheduled for today in Goldendale has been canceled. This early decision was necessary as the team was set to depart at 1:30 PM.
For this afternoon and evening events, we are closely monitoring weather conditions as the extended forecast remains challenging. An additional update will be provided by 2:00 PM regarding today’s after-school activities (sports, clubs), including the band and choir winter concert.
We know these decisions are difficult and impact everyone involved, but the safety of our staff, students, and student drivers remains our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

All After-School Activities Canceled - Due to worsening road conditions and ongoing safety concerns caused by unpredictable weather, all after-school activities have been canceled for today. This includes the band and choir winter concert, which will be rescheduled for a later date. Our primary focus is on safely transporting students home and ensuring student drivers are off the roads. Additionally, this cancellation allows our maintenance team the time needed to clear today’s storm impacts and prepare school parking lots for tomorrow’s planned opening without parked vehicles. This is a friendly reminder that all schools are on a Half Day Early Release schedule today, November 27th. The Elementary School will be released at 12:25pm, and the Middle and High Schools will be released at 12:30pm. Buses will be running on an early release time as well. Cle Elum-Roslyn Elementary is partnering with Cascade Bicycle Club for a bicycle and pedestrian safety education program to students in grades 3-5! Students will participate in a multi-week program in their P.E. class where they will learn important safety skills. All instruction will occur in a managed environment and will be taught by our P.E. teacher, Mrs. Starkovich! A big thank you to Mrs. Starkovich, the Educational Service District 105 (ESD105), and Cascade Bicycle Club for bringing this program together!
Dear Cle Elum-Roslyn School Community, at approximately 7:20 AM, the fire alarms at the High School and music room were activated. The fire department responded within minutes. It was quickly determined that the cause of the activation was as a result of increased water pressure, causing the dry sprinkler system to trip in the music room. Custodial staff were eventually able to drain off excess water pressure and reset the system. This process took approximately 25 minutes and the fire alarms did deactivate at approximately 7:45 AM. Most students had not arrived at school at this time. At no point were any students or staff placed at any risk. Open to staff, students and families during Open House Night on Wednesday, Sept. 18th - 4:30pm-6:30pm - located in the Elementary/Middle School Zen Den. Dear Parents/Guardians, as we prepare for our upcoming school photo day, we want to remind you of our policy regarding student attire for official photos. To maintain a uniform and professional appearance in our school records, we ask that students refrain from wearing hats, decorations, costumes, face coverings, or glasses (unless prescribed for vision purposes) during their school photos. Additionally, all clothing, hats, and other items must feature school-appropriate language and imagery. This policy applies to all official school photos, including those taken for ASB cards and the yearbook. If your student or you would like an individual photo with any of these items (such as a hat or costume) for personal use, you may request a second photo be taken with the photographer. Please note that these second photos will not be included in the yearbook or ASB card but can be purchased separately for your own collection. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a consistent and respectful image in our school publications. We had a successful first week of school here at Cle Elum-Roslyn Elementary School! A huge thank you to our Gray Wolf families for their patience and support as we continue to finish up improvements to our campus. We're excited for all the great learning and growth ahead this year!
Cle Elum-Roslyn High School Cheer is excited to announce that we are doing a fall Mini Cheer camp for grades Kindergarten thru 6th Grade! Practices will be held on Tuesday, September 10th, and Thursday, September 12th. Your child will get a chance to perform their routine at the September 13th Home Football Game during half time. Each child that participates will receive a T-Shirt and a Cheer Bow. The cost per child is $50.00. Registration and payment will be done completely online this year.
