LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Some of the scholarships listed will direct you to use the Cle Elum Roslyn High School (CERHS) General Scholarship Application.  CERHS General Scholarship Application

  • Scholarships that indicate to submit to the Career Center can be submitted starting February 1st.

  •  Each scholarship needs to be submitted separately.

  • The application will be given to the donors for the selection process.

Yakima Valley Construction Federation (Yakima Plan Center)

  • Each year the Yakima Valley Construction Federation presents scholarships to eligible students in Central Washington.  

  • Each scholarship is awarded to a deserving graduate who is preparing for their career in the Construction Industry.

  • Scholarship Applications are available at www.yakimaplancenter.com under Yakima Valley Construction Federation Scholarship. Applications are also in the high school career center.

  • Deadline: Postmarked by April 1

Kittitas County Cattlewomen Scholarship

  • The Kittitas County CattleWomen Memorial Fund Scholarship for $750.00 is available to

    a female Kittitas County High School senior who is enrolled full-time at a trade school,

    technical school, community college or university.

  • Applicant must plan for a major or

    minor in an agriculture-related field. This scholarship is renewable for future years.

Upper Kittitas County Dollars for Scholars

The 2024 Scholarship Application System opens on March 13th

Upper Kittitas County high school students (including home-schooled students residing in UKC school districts) are now eligible to apply for scholarships to attend college or vocational schools.
Students who fill out one application profile on our ChapterNet Website:  www.UKC.dollarsforscholars.org  are eligible for local scholarships offered through UKC Dollars for Scholars® as well as select additional national scholarships available through our partnership with Scholarship America®.  Click on the Students and Parents tab in the upper right. Eligibility is based on the information you complete on your application profile.  If you are eligible for an available scholarship you will be notified and directed, via your ChapterNet Dashboard, to provide further information according to the criteria of each individual scholarship.  Directions are available through a link on our ChapterNet Website’s “Students & Parents” tab.

  • Upper Kittitas County Dollars for Scholars®:    One or more scholarships for $1,000 or more will be awarded for college, university, or other post-secondary institutions.

  • Cle Elum Kiwanis Scholarship:   One or more scholarships for $500 or more will be awarded depending on available resources each year. This award is a Merit-based scholarship for students who have demonstrated an outstanding ability to give back to the community thru volunteerism.

  • Upper Kittitas County Dollars for Scholars Vocational/Technical Scholarship: One or more scholarships with the amount based on applicant qualifications and funding available each year. Award based on applicant's overall evaluation, with an emphasis on clarity of career vision and demonstrated work ethic.

  • Leona Malcolm Memorial Scholarship: one scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in musical programs & clubs K-12, and who plans to attend a 4-year university or college.

  • Micah Narte Memorial Scholarship: Two merit-based scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to graduating seniors who are multi-sport athletes, with a 3.3 GPA or better, who are attending a 4-year university or college.

Shoemaker Foundation/ Rudy and Patti Hein Memorial Scholarship

  • The Rudy and Patti Hein Memorial Scholarship was created to encourage students to seek and achieve continuing education at any university, college or vocational/technical school.

  • This scholarship will be awarded on a competitive (merit) and need basis to eligible applicants. 

  • Eligibility Requirements:

    • Graduating in 2024 from an Upper Kittitas County high school.  Home-schooled students are also eligible.

    • Must meet admission requirements of the college or vocational/technical school in order for scholarship funds to be disbursed.

    • Must plan to complete a program leading to a terminal degree, a certificate or a professionally recognized program in a field of study.

    • Must plan to enroll in a qualified program on a full-time basis.

    • Must demonstrate strong character, citizenship, academic ability, leadership, and self-reliance.

  • Applications are available in the Career Center.

ESA Youth Scholarship Program

  • The Electronic Security Association of Washington is pleased to announce scholarship awards to children of first responders.

  • The ESA Youth Scholarship Program has contributed more than $828,500 to deserving children of first responders throughout the nation. High school seniors who have a commitment to excellence and are inspired by the work their parent(s) do in our communities are invited to apply.

Friends Of The Kittitas County Fair
Are offering scholarships to assist Kittitas County Students who are pursuing higher educational degrees

  • Applicants must be a 2024 Kittitas County high school or home school graduate

  • Applicants must be accepted by an accredited vocational/tech school, community college, college or university in fall 2024.

  • Three (3) awards of $2,000 each will be granted towards school tuition and expenses.

  • If chosen, proof of enrollment is required. Awards will be issued and administered to the school or college where the awardee is enrolled and will be credited to the student's school account.

Marjorie Heron Memorial Scholarship

  • The Marjorie Heron Scholarship is available to CERHS graduates who plan to attend a University, College, Community College or Trade School.

Cle Elum Roslyn High School Class of 54 Scholarship

  • The class of 1954 is offering 2 scholarships to Cle Elum Roslyn High School Seniors. One in the amount of $1,000 to students that will be attending college, and a $500 one for students attending a trade school.

The Annual Howard Kelleher Memorial Scholarship

  • Each year, Merit Resource Services offers scholarships to Central Washington high school seniors that are planning to attend college or trade school after high school. This year, for 2022 they will be offering four $1,000 scholarships to students in, Yakima, Benton- Franklin, and  Kittitas Counties.

  • The scholarship will be awarded based on a competitive composition that answers the following questions. "How big of a problem are alcohol and drugs in your school? How does the problem of drugs and alcohol affect your community, and what can be done about it?"

Inland Telephone - Harold Weis Memorial Scholarship

  • The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Cle Elum Roslyn High School with a 2.75 Grade Point Average or above, to be chosen by the Inland Telephone Company board of directors.

  • Award: $2,000 over 4 years of continuous schooling. Or $500 a year for a Trade School.

WSADA (Washington State Auto Dealers Association) Bright Future Scholarship

  • Washington’s franchised new car and truck dealers have worked hard to grow their businesses and are great employers who give back to their communities.  A career as a dealership employee and/or automotive technician offers a bright future with outstanding opportunities and benefits, and we encourage you to consider employment at a new car and truck dealership as you complete your training and educational programs.

  • The Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) will award two (2) $3,000 scholarships to individuals enrolling and four (4) $3,000 scholarships to individuals currently enrolled in a Washington State automotive technology program (full list of schools available at www.wsada.org).

  • In addition, three (3) $3,000 scholarships will also be awarded to Washington State high school seniors who are an employee of a WSADA-member dealership, an immediate family member of a WSADA-member dealership employee, or applying to Northwood University’s Automotive Marketing and Management Program.

  • The 2023 WSADA Bright Future scholarship is OPEN.

Yakima Federal “Award for Academic Excellence”

Yakima Federal in 1975 established an "Award for Excellence" for the purpose of recognizing high academic achievers graduating from high school and a resident in Benton, Franklin, Kittitas or Yakima County. This year again we are granting a considerable number of $2,500 awards based on the following criteria:

  • Top ten percent of graduating class; (Check with counseling office to see if you qualify and pick up application information).

  • Community Service and Leadership activity within and outside the school environment;

  • One-page Letter of Motivation outlining future plans, school and life experiences, including any challenges faced and overcome, the impact of receiving an award plus any additional information to support their selection for an award;

  • Two letters of recommendation;

  • A statement signed by a school official indicating anticipated class rank.

  • The deadline for receipt of applications is April 22nd but they must be mailed and postmarked by April 15th.

The Pauline Kinghorn Memorial Scholarship was established in 2021

  • This scholarship is available for Upper Kittitas County Students attending Cle Elum-Roslyn High School, Swiftwater, Easton, Thorp or qualified homeschooled students.

  • A lifelong resident of Cle Elum, Pauline "Polly" Kinghorn is remembered as a dedicated 3rd and 4th grade teacher.  A graduate of Cle Elum High school,  Pauline attended Central Washington State College (now Central Washington University) where she earned a bachelor's degree in education and retired after 33 years of teaching.

Community Foundation of Kittitas County

  • The Community Foundation of Kittitas County offers a total of 5 scholarships valued at One Thousand Dollars ($1,000 each) to selected high school graduates from within Kittitas County.

  • Be a graduating senior enrolled full-time in a Kittitas County High School with a minimum of a 3.00 GPA.

  • Must exhibit good character, morals and should be involved in community service activities outside the high school environment.

Kittitas County Roping Club Scholarship

  • The Kittitas County Roping Club (KCRC) is proud to award scholarship opportunities to enable our youth to further excel in their future career through continuing education.

  • All applicants must submit a completed and mailed to KCRC Scholarship Application by April 30th
