Bus Tag Return Announcement - Please have your student(s) turn in their SMARTtag badge(s) into either their school office or the school bus by their last day of school. It's crucial to ensure all SMARTtag badges are returned promptly so that the Transportation Department can manage inventory effectively and make necessary adjustments. End-of-Year Concerts for HS and MS Band and Choir are this week! The High School will be performing on Wednesday, May 29th, and the Middle School will be on Thursday, May 30th. Call time for students is at 6:30 PM. Doors will also open at 6:30 PM for parents and family to come in and find seats. We look forward to seeing our students show off their hard work and talent!
Reminder that there's no school tomorrow, Monday May 27th, in observance of Memorial Day. However, we invite our families to join our local VFW for a small Memorial Day Dedication to honor and remember those who gave their lives to serve our country. This year’s presentation will be at 11:00am, Monday, May 27th, at the Roslyn Cemetery: Memorial Rd, Roslyn, WA 98941.

SWIFTWATER'S ANNUAL PLANT SALE! Students at Swiftwater have been busy nurturing tomato and pepper plants from seeds as part of a horticulture project. The plants, including 10 tomato varieties and 8 types of peppers, will be available for purchase at the "Celebration of Student Learning (CSL)" on the night of May 23rd from 5:00PM-7:00PM for $3.00 (cash only please). The Community Health & Wellness Fair will occur Thursday, May 23rd, 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Elementary/Middle School gym during the Celebration of Student Learning. The first 170 students to attend will receive a small prize!

Looking for something fun to do and support a great cause? Join us on Saturday, April 27th from 5-8pm at The Roslyn Theater. The Cle Elum Roslyn HS is raising money for the Ski and Snowboard Club. There will be raffle items available and they will be showing the snowboard movie, "The Art of Flight". Tickets are $5 for students, and $15 for everyone else. Join us for a fun event this Sunday, April 21st, from 11am-2pm to support our K-12 students! They have created amazing art work, and music groups will be performing songs in the Roslyn Yard. 3rd-4th Grade will perform 11:00am-11:30am. 5th-6th Grade will perform 11:30am-12:00pm, and Middle and High School will perform 12:15pm-2:00pm. Partial Solar Eclipse Eye Safety: with the solar eclipse that will be partially visible tomorrow, Monday, April 8th, we want to take a moment to remind you of the importance of safety precautions for your child's eyes during this rare celestial event. Students will be instructed not to look or glance directly at the sun during the eclipse. While this precaution is being taken, it is essential for parents/guardians to reinforce this message at home, emphasizing the dangers of looking at the sun even when it is partially obscured during the eclipse. In the event that your child experiences any symptoms related to eye discomfort or vision changes following the eclipse, it is crucial to seek professional evaluation from an eye care specialist. Please remember that our school staff are not qualified to assess for eye damage, and it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure the well-being of their children in such circumstances. We appreciate your cooperation in prioritizing the safety and health of our students during this exciting astronomical event.
