Warrior Fieldhouse Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

With the snip of a ceremonial ribbon, the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District will officially open its two newly remodeled, multi-use athletic facilities—spaces that will benefit every athletic program and every student-athlete.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place on Friday, September 26th, at 5:00 PM, before our first home football game. The community is warmly invited to join us for open house–style tours of the facilities, as we celebrate and honor everyone who contributed to making these spaces a reality.

While the facilities themselves are stunning, the real story is the remarkable community effort that made them possible. At the heart of the project was Taylor Michael Homes, which served as the General Contractor from day one—at no charge to the district. Our football coaches rolled up their sleeves as well and provided demolition labor to prepare the spaces for transformation.

Merle Inc. Custom Homes designed the facilities and completed all framing free of charge, and Matheus Lumber donated a good portion, and heavily discounted the balance, of all the lumber needed for this project including framing, trim and plywood for the lockers. IW Insulation installed insulation and soundproofing at a major discount, while Temp Control Heating & Refrigeration put in brand-new heating and cooling systems, charging only for equipment and donating all labor.

Iron Creek Electrical completed the electrical wiring and integrated the security features to align with the rest of the school campus, while also providing internet and network access as an extension of the school system—offering their services at a significantly discounted rate. Rob Thomas Drywall handled the patching, drywall, texture work, and interior painting, also providing their services at a substantially reduced cost.

For the building’s exterior, Wine Valley Siding donated 100% of the siding materials, and KZ Construction installed it flawlessly at no cost. Columbia Plateau Roofing spent hours repairing, updating, and installing metal roofing to give the building a “like new” appearance—again, at no charge. Superior Millwork & Door contributed new steel doors, and Grove Window Supply provided the windows that complete the look and functionality of the spaces.

The finishing touches truly shine: Claffey’s Painting installed epoxy flooring and painted both the building exterior and roof at a discounted cost, while Rodman Construction built 64 custom wood lockers, with Eburg DHS adding the finishing details at a significant discount—making these facilities the envy of any school in our league or conference.

This ribbon cutting isn’t just about opening a building—it’s about honoring the people who made it happen,” says Superintendent John Belcher. “The businesses and individuals recognized here prove that our youth are this community’s greatest asset, and they show that when we work together, we can create something truly extraordinary.”

As the doors open for the first time, the pride is clear: this project represents the power of teamwork, generosity, and the deep bond between the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District and the community that supports it. We look forward to welcoming our community on September 26th to see these new facilities and celebrate this milestone together.
