On Friday, September 26th, the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District celebrated a milestone years in the making with the official ribbon cutting of our two newly remodeled, multi-use athletic facilities. The event took place just before the home football game, and our community showed up in full force to tour the spaces, cheer on our Warriors, and honor the many hands that made this project a reality.
Guests enjoyed open house–style tours of the facilities, which feature modern upgrades designed to support every athletic program and every student-athlete. From custom wood lockers to epoxy floors, heating and cooling systems, and versatile team spaces, the new facilities drew smiles, excitement, and pride from all who walked through the doors.
The celebration continued under the Friday night lights, where the Warriors took the field for their home matchup. Adding to the night’s energy was a spirited mini cheer performance during halftime, and recognizing our youth flag football players, which drew loud applause from families, friends, and fans alike. It was the perfect reminder of the vibrant student community these facilities were built to serve.
Superintendent John Belcher reflected on the evening:
“This ribbon cutting wasn’t just about opening a building—it was about honoring the people who made it happen and celebrating with the community that stands behind our youth. Friday night was a beautiful example of what happens when we come together for our students.”
The District extends its deepest gratitude to the many businesses, tradespeople, coaches, and volunteers who gave their time, expertise, and resources to make these facilities possible. Their generosity has provided a gift that will serve student-athletes for generations to come.
Friday’s ribbon cutting and home game were more than just events—they were a testament to Warrior pride, community spirit, and the shared belief that our students are worth investing in.
