Students in the High School Career & Technical Education (CTE) program are gaining valuable hands-on experience through a variety of construction and woodworking projects. Under the guidance of CTE Instructor Mr. Blazina, students are actively applying classroom learning to real-world skills.
Two outdoor groups are currently working on storage shed projects at different stages. One group is learning about foundations and preparing to pour small concrete footings, which will serve as the base for two new storage sheds. Another group is completing sheds that were started last year, focusing on roofing, siding, and beginning trim work.
Inside the school, a third group from the high school woodshop class is developing basic woodworking and power tool skills. These students are creating projects such as puzzles, wooden signs, and pizza boards, allowing them to practice precision, safety, and craftsmanship.
Through these hands-on projects, students are building confidence, teamwork, and practical skills that will serve them well in future careers and everyday life, reflecting the strong value of career and technical education in preparing students for success.
