ASVAB
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
The ASVAB is a career exploration and aptitude test offered to high school students nationwide. It measures skills in areas such as math, science, reading, and mechanical comprehension. While it is commonly used as part of the enlistment process for the U.S. military, the ASVAB also provides valuable insights into a student’s strengths and possible career pathways; military and civilian.
Requirements:
The ASVAB is typically offered to Sophomores - Seniors
Students do not need to have plans to join the military in order to take the test.
Scores can help students explore career options, meet certain graduation pathway requirements in Washington State, and may be used for military entrance if they choose that path after graduation.
Students interested in taking the ASVAB should contact the counseling office for upcoming test dates and registration information.
