Thank you to all who were able to attend Wednesday’s Family Engagement Night! The energy was amazing and has catapulted us into what will be an incredible year! Our staff is super stoked to see everyone this coming Tuesday, September 6th!





Reminder: Family Engagement Night Tonight, Aug. 31 - 4:30 - 6:30


Let's show our staff they are appreciated!! Join in on the fun by dropping off snacks or drinks at the WSMS corner during Family Engagement Night ! All donations will be divided and delivered to the Staff Lounge at each building for staff to enjoy! Don't have time to pick something up to donate? No problem!! Stop by the table and fill out a Thank You card for any staff member in the district and let us deliver it for you!

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 6th!
Aug. 29 - Sept. 1 our office is open daily from 7:30-3:00 p.m. through this
The office is closed this Friday, Sept. 2nd and Monday, Sept. 5th.
Family Engagement – Orientation is this Wednesday, Aug. 31st, 4:30-6:30
At our Orientation event, we will have the following available:
Student schedules (unless student is not cleared by the nurse)
Open classrooms and a chance to meet your student’s teachers
MS Office will sell ASB cards ($20) & take meal account payments (cash, check, credit)P.A.C. table with Wildcat gear for sale (pay to PAC directly) and volunteer info
Lockers are optional and will be available, upon request, beginning Friday, September 9
Mark your calendars – Picture Day is Wednesday, September 14th!

Hello Wildcat Families!
Just an update on school supplies. There are very few items that you will need to purchase. If you know of someone who needs help with required items or you need help with required items, please contact our office (509)649-4800.


Students from WSMS Interact Club spent the day volunteering in the Elementary Library today. With the assistance of Amanda Heins and Amy Pridemore, the students rearranged and organized the book shelves!
Interact is a Rotary student organization that inspires young leaders to make a difference through service to their community.
Way to go Wildcats!!

Movie Night: Important Update!
Hello Wildcats! We are excited to see you at movie night tonight! 7:00 - 10:00pm at Roslyn Yard.
Please note! We just received word from the Yearbook Company that the yearbooks will not be available tonight due to the printing company's delays.
However, the show will go on!
* We will still have a movie (Night at the Museum), from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at
Roslyn Yard.
* Free Pizza and Pop for those that purchased a yearbook
* $5 for Pizza and Pop for those that haven’t purchased a yearbook
The Yearbooks will be available on August 31st at our Back to School Night or on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 6th.

Ms. Wheatley’s Summer STEAM students have made parachutes, completed an egg drop and battled it out with Bots they built! Can’t wait to see their next project BLAST OFF on Thursday!





Ms. Wheatley’s STEAM Camp is off to a bright start! The students had a great time building name tags that light up!


As we wind down the school year, WSMS Students will be checking in their electronic devices. Students will need to turn in their device (Chromebook), charger, and protective pouch.
Below are the schedules for each grade level.
6th Grade- Wednesday , June 15th 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods.
7th Grade- Thursday , June 16th during Science Classes.
8th Grade- Friday, June 17th, during Social Studies Classes.

Guess what Wildcats?! Our school year just got a little shorter!
OSPI officially granted CERSD 2 emergency waiver days due to the Jan. 6th & 7th being declared as a County Emergency during our snow day closures. The last day for students is now Tuesday, June 21st!

Due to information received from the Mt. Adams school district regarding threats made to their students, Cle Elum-Roslyn schools went into a Secure and Teach at 1:30pm today for the remainder of the day. The district is working closely with Kittitas County Sheriff's Office, Cle Elum-Roslyn Police Department, and the Tribal Police. Law enforcement will be on site during dismissal this afternoon. As a precautionary measure, all after school on-site events will be canceled this afternoon (Tuesday, 5/3/22). The baseball game that is taking place in Ellensburg will continue as scheduled.
