Board Awards

Congratulations to our November Board Award recipients (pictured left to right): Yatin Taya, Kyler Osiadacz, Eamon Brissey, Karuso Mathes, Lilly Parks, Paisley Flowers, Caroline Smith, and Rachel Mendenhall. These students were selected for exemplifying personal growth, perseverance, and positive character. Each has demonstrated determination, kindness, leadership, or meaningful contributions that reflect the values of our schools.

Yatin Taya

Yatin exhibits a remarkable work ethic and consistent dedication to learning. In math class, he is known for his strong attendance, timely completion of assignments, and focused engagement. He asks thoughtful questions, contributes meaningfully to the classroom environment, and consistently shows respect toward peers and staff. Yatin also displays sportsmanship and determination through his regular lunchtime basketball practice. His commitment to improvement and positive character make him a standout student.

Kyler Osiadacz

Kyler has had an amazing start to the school year. Even with transferring into the class late, he jumped right into the activities and lessons that were happening in Business Communication without any hesitation. Kyler has been an engaging and meaningful member of the class, and he has even provided key constructive feedback about the class that has helped his teacher to pivot and improve the course for not only current students but for the future students of this course as well. Many of his teachers also agree that he has really been knocking it out of the park this year, and we are all very impressed!

Eamon Brissey

Eamon demonstrates exceptional dedication in Environmental Science and beyond. His strong curiosity, sense of responsibility, and commitment to understanding complex environmental systems distinguish him academically. He advocates actively for recycling and sustainable practices, modeling environmental stewardship for his peers. His leadership and passion for protecting the planet are evident both in his coursework and daily actions.

Karuso Mathes

Karuso is an exceptionally kind and welcoming student. She greets others warmly, partners willingly with any classmate, and consistently makes an effort to ensure all students feel included—going so far as to introduce herself to new students without prompting. She approaches each day with her best effort, never complains, and embodies the traits of a dedicated, respectful, and supportive Warrior.

Lilly Parks

Lilly is known for her hard work, insightful contributions, and dedication to academic growth. She approaches her studies with determination, consistently engaging with challenging material and asking thoughtful questions. Her positive attitude and willingness to seek help when needed make her an excellent role model who exemplifies the values of a Cle Elum-Roslyn Warrior.

Paisley Flowers

As President of the CERHS Ski and Snowboard Club, Paisley has demonstrated impressive leadership marked by intelligence, maturity, and compassion. She manages club meetings, coordinates trip logistics, and inspires enthusiastic participation from members. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration and inclusivity; she listens attentively, values diverse perspectives, and creates a welcoming environment for all students.

Caroline Smith

Caroline brings an infectious optimism to the school each day. Her enthusiasm elevates every activity she participates in, and she is widely appreciated by her peers for her friendliness, trustworthiness, and willingness to support others. Caroline’s positive spirit and consistent encouragement make her a valued member of the student body.

Rachel Mendenhall

Rachel has been recognized repeatedly for her outstanding leadership. Students and staff alike describe her as the “go-to” person when a major project needs to be led with confidence and competence. She is known for uplifting her peers—whether by supporting their academics or listening thoughtfully to personal challenges—and for helping others find solutions. Her influence has strengthened the school community, and she continues to be a model of empathy, initiative, and reliability.
