Free Summer Meals & Sun Bucks Program

There are two great ways to save money and make sure your child eats healthy this summer.

  1. Free Summer Meals are available for every kid (18 and under), at schools, parks and other community locations in your neighborhood.

  2. Sun Bucks is a new program that pays $120 in food benefits for every eligible child in your family, which can be used to purchase groceries during the summer months.

For meal sites near you and Sun Bucks eligibility requirements, text FOOD to 509-509. Visit the link below to learn more.

Waivers and Reductions

Cle Elum-Roslyn School District offers extracurricular fee reductions or waivers to students who are eligible for free or reduced meals under federal guidelines. To apply for free or reduced meals, please click here, complete the "Free and Reduced Lunch Application" and turn it into your school's front office. To have fees automatically reduced or waived, you must consent to share student meal status for fee reduction purposes, which is located on the back of the free and reduced lunch application.

If you have already applied to free/reduced meals but did not consent to share meal status information or qualify for free or reduced meals through direct certification, please fill out the "Consent to Share Eligibility" form to have fees automatically reduced or waived.

We are committed to ensuring all students have the opportunity to participate in school activities. Below are answers to common questions about House Bill 1660 (HB 1660), a Washington State law designated to reduce financial barriers to extracurricular participation.
