Dear Staff, Students, and Families of Cle Elum Roslyn School District,
I am pleased to announce that Sarah Houseberg will be appointed the Interim Principal of Cle Elum-Roslyn High School for the 2022-23 school year. Mrs. Houseberg will continue to strengthen relationships and build strong systems to support timely and effective communication with her school community.
Sarah Houseberg received her degree in English Literature and Secondary Education from CWU. In 2015, Mrs. Houseberg earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction while working as an English teacher at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School. In 2018 she did her administrative internship in the district and earned her Principal Certification from Gonzaga University. In 2019, Mrs. Houseberg became the Director and teacher at Swiftwater Learning Center. She has brought energy, passion, focus, and innovation to Swiftwater and gradually turned the program into a Big Picture Learning school. Mrs. Houseberg has received accolades from business partners, families, staff, and above all- her students.
We are excited to have Sarah Houseberg step into this role for the upcoming year which will allow the new superintendent the opportunity to focus on listening and learning about the unique needs of the high school school community before hiring a new Principal. Mrs. Houseberg will continue to maintain program oversight of Swiftwater Big Picture Learning.
