HS Prevention Club Students attend Kittitas County Substance Use Prevention Key Leader Event

The High School Prevention Club attended the Kittitas County Substance Use Prevention Key Leader Event last week at the Upper Kittitas County Senior Center, hosted by the Cascade Prevention Coalition.

During the event, the club gave an inspiring presentation highlighting this year’s prevention efforts, including their testimonies in support of House Bill 1203 and Senate Bill 5183, participation in community tabling events, and their upcoming presentation of Samantha Skunk to local 1st graders.

With 55 attendees present, these remarkable students demonstrated the power of youth advocacy and resilience. Their presentation was a strong reminder that prevention starts with our youth—and by equipping and encouraging them to lead among their peers, we create meaningful, lasting change in our communities.

We are incredibly proud of the High School Prevention Club for their dedication, leadership, and impact in advancing substance use prevention and education.
