May Board Awards 2026

Congratulations to our May Board Award recipients! This month we honored the amazing volunteers who generously donate their time, energy, and talents to benefit our students, schools, and community. Their dedication helps create opportunities, strengthen programs, and provide meaningful experiences for students throughout the year. From classrooms and athletics to music programs and student services, these individuals continually step forward to support students in countless ways.

Boosters

This month’s Booster nominees are Ange Nicholson, Lisa Mendenhall, Krysta Crandall, Lindsey Halte, and Diana Garcia. These volunteers play an essential role in supporting school activities and events through their hard work and dedication behind the scenes.

Their contributions include preparing and serving concessions, working entry gates, assisting with fundraisers, coordinating Warrior Wear orders, managing sales and pickups, and shopping for food and beverages for concessions. They also dedicate time to reaching out to local businesses regarding sponsorship opportunities, helping strengthen partnerships that directly benefit students and school programs.

Their willingness to step in wherever needed has made a tremendous impact on the success of events and activities throughout the year.

Music Boosters

The Music Booster nominees are Lacey Hein, Helen Lau, Angela Steele, Lucy Temple, and Corey Williams for their incredible support of the school’s music programs, especially during marching band season and concert events.

During summer marching band camp, these volunteers help provide meals and support for students throughout the week. They assist with fitting uniforms and helping the color guard with costumes. During competition weekends, they arrive early and work tirelessly behind the scenes — packing trailers the night before, setting up camp areas early in the morning, unloading instruments and equipment, preparing breakfast before performances, and organizing lunch afterward.

Once performances conclude, they continue helping by tearing down tents, tables, and equipment before packing everything up again. This level of commitment is repeated during multiple Saturdays throughout the marching band season.

In addition to competitions, the Music Boosters support concerts by organizing raffles and prize wheels, distributing programs, and coordinating important fundraisers such as bake sales, Butter Braids sales, and the annual Jazz Café. Their dedication helps ensure students have memorable and successful experiences in the performing arts.
