This week, May 4–8, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week—a time to recognize the dedication, patience, and passion our teachers bring to their classrooms every single day!
Please join us in thanking the incredible educators who make a difference in our community. Whether it’s a kind note, a message of gratitude, or a simple “thank you,” every gesture matters.
Thank you to all our teachers, we appreciate you today and every day!

We are seeking interested staff, families, and career professionals—especially those utilizing AI in their work—to join our Technology Advisory Committee, led by Superintendent John Belcher.
This committee will help shape the future of technology use in our district, including how we safely and effectively prepare students for an AI-driven future. Over the course of approximately four meetings (5:30PM – 7:00PM), we will discuss topics such as:
- How are you using AI in professional settings
- What thoughtful AI use with students should look like
- Preparing students for future careers and digital citizenship
- Screen time and healthy technology use for youth
- Other emerging technology topics impacting schools
Our first meeting will be May 7th from 5:30PM – 7:00PM at the Central Office, 4244 Bullfrog Road (by the new apartments). Your voice and expertise can help inform a thoughtful path forward for our students and community. Thank you for considering being part of this important work.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin are proud to offer a Summer Camp hosted at the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District.

Today, April 27th, our schools will be conducting a routine safety drill as part of our regular emergency preparedness procedures. These drills are held periodically throughout the school year to help ensure students and staff are familiar with safety protocols.
Families will receive notifications from their child(ren)'s schools through ParentSquare. This is only a practice drill, and there is no cause for concern. Thank you for your continued support of our schools.
Our 'Countdown to Kindergarten' event will be held on Wednesday, May 6th. This is a friendly reminder that future kindergarteners must be enrolled by this Saturday, May 2nd, to participate in this event.

We are grateful for the many volunteers who give their time, energy, and care to support our students, staff, and schools. From classrooms to events, your contributions make a meaningful difference every day.
Thank you for helping create a strong, supportive learning community—we couldn’t do it without you.

We are in the final stages of implementing our new integrated alarm and notification system. On Wednesday, April 8, a team will be on-site testing equipment to ensure everything is functioning as intended.
Testing will take place between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Schools are currently closed for spring break, and we ask that no staff or community members enter district buildings during this time.
This work supports our continued focus on school safety. Thank you for your awareness.
