Reminder that Kindergarten Registration is now open for future Kindergarteners for the 2024-2025 school year! Parents must register future Kindergartners by May 10th before 3:00pm, in order to participate in Kindergarten Roundup. Additional details will be sent to families who have registered. Partial Solar Eclipse Eye Safety: with the solar eclipse that will be partially visible tomorrow, Monday, April 8th, we want to take a moment to remind you of the importance of safety precautions for your child's eyes during this rare celestial event. Students will be instructed not to look or glance directly at the sun during the eclipse. While this precaution is being taken, it is essential for parents/guardians to reinforce this message at home, emphasizing the dangers of looking at the sun even when it is partially obscured during the eclipse. In the event that your child experiences any symptoms related to eye discomfort or vision changes following the eclipse, it is crucial to seek professional evaluation from an eye care specialist. Please remember that our school staff are not qualified to assess for eye damage, and it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure the well-being of their children in such circumstances. We appreciate your cooperation in prioritizing the safety and health of our students during this exciting astronomical event. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at nursesd@cersd.org.

This week our district office is welcoming 68 of our youngest learners for the much-anticipated Early Learning Roundup. This heartwarming experience marks the beginning of an exciting journey for our youngest learners as we identify those who will be eligible to enroll in our early learning programs. With enthusiasm, our dedicated team will be engaging in screenings and activities tailored to uncover each child's unique strengths and readiness for preschool and transitional kindergarten. As we continue this important process, we remain committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment where every child can flourish.

This is a friendly reminder that all schools are on a Half Day Early Release schedule today. The Elementary School will be released at 12:25pm. and the Middle and High Schools will be released at 12:30pm. Buses will be running on an early release time as well. If you have any questions, please call your school's main office.

A friendly reminder to our Hi-Cap Families - Our upcoming Highly Capable Family Night is tomorrow, March 14th, from 4:00pm - 6:30pm. We will be set up in the Hub, located in the Middle School commons, Room 303. We look forward to seeing you there!
Daylight Savings Time is Sunday, March 10th! Remember to set your clocks forward one hour.
This is a friendly reminder that ELEMENTARY School Conferences are next week, March 12th - March 14th (Evening Conferences are offered the evening of March 14th from 4:00pm-6:30pm). The Elementary School will be released at 12:25PM on these days, while the Middle School and High School will have regular school hours. Bus services will run early release times for the Elementary School, March 12th - March 14th, and regular bus service times for the Middle School and High School. Please Note: Friday, March 15th, is an Early Release day for ALL SCHOOLS. 12:25pm - Elementary, and 12:30pm for the Middle School and High School.

Spring Concerts are next week! We are excited to see our students perform, and ask that our families take a moment to review location, timeframes and parking procedures. CERHS will perform on February 28th (Wednesday) at 7:00PM, and WSMS will perform on February 29th (Thursday) at 7:00PM. Both performances will be in the WSMS Gym. Doors open at 6:30PM. Students need to arrive at 6:30PM unless they need performance clothes, then they should arrive at 6:00 PM. Parking is available in the HS parking lot, and MS/ES parking lot. We encourage our families to arrive early as spaces fill up quickly.
