Join us tonight for a special School Board Work Session at 6:00 PM in the Walter Strom Middle School library. Our Facilities Use Committee will be presenting their recommendations after months of study on enrollment trends, facility conditions, and future needs at the secondary level. We will be covering growing enrollment trends and what they mean for our schools, the current condition and capacity of our facilities, how we plan to fully utilize the elementary and middle school buildings to meet Pre- K-6 student needs, and recommendations for how to improve and reimagine secondary (7-12) programming. The committee’s work is focused on ensuring we can continue offering strong academic programs, career-connected learning, and student supports as we grow—and they’ll be sharing what they believe is needed to prepare for the future. Capital Projects Construction Underway – Thank You for Your Support! The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District is excited to announce that construction is now underway on several important facility improvements—thanks to the generous support of our community through the Capital Projects Levy. Current projects include: Track resurfacing (including repair of failed areas), installation of new throwing areas (for shot put, discus, and javelin), resurfacing of tennis and pickleball courts, and paving of Swiftwater Lane Trail (to improve access and safety). These upgrades will enhance both athletic and recreational opportunities for our students and community. We ask everyone to please be mindful of ongoing construction, avoid construction vehicles and active work zones, and do not enter fenced or restricted areas during this time. We sincerely appreciate your continued support as we work to improve our facilities for current and future generations.
