We would like to take a moment and introduce you to Perry Sampley! Mr. Sampley has been hired as our High School Counselor
"I’m thrilled to be part of the Warrior family! It’s clear there is a strong sense of history and pride in this school community, which I look forward to learning more about from all of you. A little about me… I spent a total of 13 years as a School Counselor on the Evergreen High campus, both with the comprehensive high school, as well as one of the three small schools, after a school transformation. The school I worked with was very similar in size to Cle Elem Roslyn High School, so it’s a little nostalgic to be back in a small school setting. While I was there, I completed an additional masters degree in Education Leadership and Program Administration and later had an opportunity to serve for 7 years as a Vice Principal at Kennedy Catholic High. Although it was a wonderful experience, it didn’t quite “fill my soul” like School Counseling. Therefore, after some consideration I decided to return to School Counseling.
This community has become a big part of my family’s lives over the past decade, since purchasing property in the area. My wife, Leslie and two sons, Gabriel and Samuel, love the people, community, culture, weather and everything about the area! Since my boys have graduated high school, my wife and I are taking the opportunity to make the transition to Cle Elum, so I was thrilled to see the School Counseling opening and am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a tight-knit, dedicated group of educators. I look forward to meeting you all, so never hesitate to call or stop by for a visit!"
Let's give a big welcome to Perry!

Dear Cle Elum-Roslyn School Community: You may notice increased activity around our schools, particularly at the High School and in the parking lot. The US Forest Service is mobilizing fire crews to assist with the recent fires and establishing an incident command post on our campus. This will include tents on campus and parked equipment to support our firefighter crews. They will be staging over the next 3-4 days, and are expected to be on campus for a couple of weeks. At this time, we do not see them intermingling with our students when school begins, but we will keep you in the loop as we approach the start of school. Our beautiful campus is conducive to camping, while not athletics. As a designated Red Cross facility, the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District has supported the Forest Service in the past, and we are happy to assist. We will keep you informed of any changes. If you have any questions, please contact the district office at 509-852-4819. Thank you for your understanding and support.
