The Upper Kittitas County Fuels Crew has informed us that a prescribed burn will take place on Cle Elum Ridge starting around 1:00 p.m. today. Smoke will be visible throughout the upper county area, including from our schools. This controlled burn is part of the Cle Elum Ridge Fuels Mitigation Project, designed to reduce the risk of fire to our communities. We appreciate your understanding and want to reassure families that this is a planned and managed safety effort.
